THE ADVISER TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT PARTICIPATED IN THE CONFERENCE AND THE 22ND MEETING OF THE JOINT COUNCIL ON CONSTITUTIONAL JUSTICE
Upon the invitation of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (the Venice Commission), Naira Hovhannisyan, Adviser to the President of the Constitutional Court, in her capacity as the authorized representative (liaison officer) of the Constitutional Court to the Venice Commission, participated in the conference and the 22nd meeting of the Joint Council on Constitutional Justice, held in Zagreb, Croatia, on 21 and 22 May 2026.
The purpose of the meeting was to ensure the exchange of information and experience between liaison officers and members of the Venice Commission with a view to fostering continuous professional dialogue and cooperation among constitutional courts.
During the meeting, Naira Hovhannisyan delivered a report outlining the experience and approaches of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia in the field of constitutional justice.
The 22nd meeting of the Joint Council on Constitutional Justice was preceded by a conference dedicated to the “Future of Constitutional Complaint Mechanisms”, within the framework of which current challenges and development prospects in the field of constitutional justice were discussed.
