PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HOSTED THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RIGHTS OF DG HUMAN RIGHTS AND RULE OF LAW OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE
On May 27, 2025, the President of the Constitutional Court hosted Clare Ovey, the Director of Human Rights of DG Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the workshop “Further Support to the Implementation of the ECHR through effective execution of the European Court of Human Rights judgments in Armenia”.
Welcoming the guest, Arman Dilanyan highly appreciated the effective cooperation established between the Constitutional Court and different institutions of the Council of Europe in the field of constitutional justice and human rights.
Ms. Clare Ovey expressed gratitude to the President of the Constitutional Court, noting that the High Court is a professional and reliable partner of the Council of Europe.
The parties discussed the effectiveness of the activities carried out within the framework of the Project “Support to the Development of Constitutional Justice in Armenia in line with European Standards” and outlined future actions.
Edgar Shatiryan, Justice of the Constitutional Court, Lilit Daneghian-Bossler, Deputy Head of Co-operation Programmes Division of the Council of Europe, Vedran Ian-Kjeldsen, Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, and Evgenia Ivanova, Senior Officer of the Project “Support to the Development of Constitutional Justice in Armenia in line with European Standards” participated in the meeting.
