THE PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA PARTICIPATED IN THE SIXTH CONGRESS OF THE WORLD CONFERENCE ON CONSTITUTIONAL JUSTICE, HELD IN MADRID
From October 28 to 31, 2025, at the invitation of the Director/Secretary of the Venice Commission, Simona Granata-Menghini, and the President of the Constitutional Court of the Kingdom of Spain, Cándido Conde-Pumpido Tourón, the President of the Constitutional Court, Arman Dilanyan, participated in the Sixth Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, which took place in the capital of Spain, Madrid.
During the Conference entitled “Human Rights of Future Generations”, the President of the RA Constitutional Court participated in the sessions of the Eurasian Association of Constitutional Review Bodies, the Conference of European Constitutional Courts, and the Association of Francophone Constitutional Courts. The Conference included discussions on the independence of constitutional courts, the preservation of universal cultural heritage, natural resources and the environment, science and new technologies.
The General Assembly of the Sixth Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice convened on October 30, 2025, followed by the official closing ceremony of the Conference, during which the King of Spain, Felipe VI, delivered a speech.
Note: The World Conference on Constitutional Justice was founded in 2009. The World Conference pursues its objectives through the organisation of regular congresses, by sharing experiences and case-law, which are important for lawyers and institutions specializing in the field of constitutional justice. The World Conference on Constitutional Justice unites 124 Constitutional Courts, Councils, and Supreme Courts.
