HEAD OF THE OBSERVATION MISSION IN THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT
On March 31, G. Harutyunyan, President of the RA Constitutional Court hosted Ignacio Sanchez Amor, Head of the short-term observation mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
Mr. Amor is a member of the Spanish Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee and serves as Head of the Spanish Delegation to the OSCE PA.
Mr. Amor was interested in the procedure and peculiarities of judicial protection of the electoral right in the Republic of Armenia in the light of constitutional reforms, as well as the role of the Constitutional Court in the issue of judicial protection of electoral right.
Mr. Harutyunyan briefed in detail both the current procedure and the overall situation of legal regulation, resulting from the adoption of the new Electoral Code and constitutional amendments. Exhaustive answers were given to all questions of the guest.
