THE PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT HOSTED THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RIGHTS OF DG HUMAN RIGHTS AND RULE OF LAW OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE
On 12 November 2025, the President of the Constitutional Court, Arman Dilanyan, hosted Clare Ovey, the Director of Human Rights of DG Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe.
Welcoming the guest, Arman Dilanyan highly appreciated the effective cooperation established between the Constitutional Court and different institutions of the Council of Europe in the field of constitutional justice and human rights. Ms. Clare Ovey expressed gratitude to the President of the Constitutional Court, noting that the High Court is a reliable partner of the Council of Europe.
The parties discussed the effectiveness of cooperation between the Constitutional Court and the Council of Europe, as well as a number of jointly implemented projects and opportunities for studying and applying international experience in various fields. They agreed to undertake joint efforts to establish and further develop relations with the high courts of other countries.
The meeting was attended by Lilit Daneghian-Bossler, Adviser on Justice Reform of Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe, and Coordinator for EU/Council of Europe Norwegian Grants, Maxime Longangué, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, and Evgenia Ivanova, Senior Officer of the Project “Support to the Development of Constitutional Justice in Armenia in line with European Standards”.
